CINEMIX
by Oof is a fresh audiovisual show based on French
movies
from the 60’s & Oof own electro
videos. DVJ Oof has toured worldwide in the biggest festivals
with this show & is resident DJ of the Cannes Film
Festival.
It all begun
in 2003 when Frederic Elalouf (aka DJ Oof) was asked
by Universal Jazz to do the executive production
for the Cinémix® album : remixes of the most
famous french soundtracks of the 60’s. From there
he craeted a unique expereince with mixed image and sound,
gathering hundreds of synchronized sequences from movies,
music videos and concerts.
His work is as comfortable gracing the walls of the
Pompidou Center in Paris, as it is being shown in nightclubs
in Tokyo. The Cineclip phenomenon is a bridge between
people of different generations and acts against the
loss of the greatest cultural moments of the past, whilst
also fulfilling a desire to educate people about the
music and the French language in these films.
As
part of the Alliance
Francaise French Film Festival,
DJ Oof will be supported by a local lineup of sizzling
Perth performers including VJzoo, DJ Massiv Trav.
